The following services are included in the basic work abroad in Canada programme:

Before departure:

• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator

Service in Canada

• Voucher for transfer from Vancouver airport to the hostel in Vancouver
• Two nights in a shared room in a hostel with breakfast after arrival in Vancouver
• Detailed information workshop and welcome package in Vancouver
• Weekly job workshop in Vancouver
• Canadian job search brochure
• Revision of your English C.V.
• WWOOF membership
• Hostel membership in Hostelling International Canada (discounts on accommodation, points of interest, shopping, etc.)
• Use of and support from our partner office in Victoria: job pin boards, newspapers, information and personal advice, PCs with CD burners
• Help when applying for a social insurance number
• Help when opening a Canadian bank account
• Help when looking for cheap accommodation
• Free internet access at the office in Victoria and at an internet café (restricted times) in Vancouver
• Voucher for a city tour in Vancouver or Victoria
• 12 months of mail forwarding within Canada
• Canadian SIM card for use in a mobile phone
• Possibility to take part in organised social events in Vancouver or Victoria
• Local 24-hour emergency number
• Certificate upon return

Prices

• Age: 18-30 or 18-35. depending on your home country
• Language: Good knowledge of English
• Nationality: Please consult the following website for information about your home country's agreement with the Canadian government: http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/
  Citizens of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, and other  European countries which have the appropriate Working Holiday agreement with the Canadian government are eligible to participate. Unfortunately, citizens of the United Kingdom and United States are not eligible to participate in this TravelWorks programme.
• Practical Experience: Not necessary, although any experience you have will be helpful as you search for work abroad in Canada.

On top of the programme costs, you should expect the following additional expenses:

• Flight to and from Canada
• Visa fee
• Travel insurance
• Accommodation and food during the rest of your stay
• Personal expenses for excursions, transportation, etc.
