However, citizens of several European countries are eligible to participate in this TravelWorks programme.

Following is a list of common requirements for the Working Holiday Visa. Please inform yourself about the terms and conditions which specifically apply to you, at the website of the Canadian Embassy in your home country, before you apply for the working holiday in Canada programme.

Working Holiday in Canada

Welcome to Canada – our local services

You will begin your working holiday in Canada with a two-night stay in a hostel and a job workshop in Vancouver. Exhausted from a flight halfway around the world and the subsequent bus journey to downtown Vancouver, you can simply fall into bed at your pre-booked hostel once you arrive.

The next day you can participate in our informational job workshop. Our Canadian partners will:

  • Explain how to search for jobs
  • Prepare you for a typical job interview in Canada
  • Help you to apply for a Canadian social insurance number
  • Help you to open a local bank account

Aside from this, our partner organisation will help you prepare your English C.V. Then, fully informed and  prepared, you will start job-searching and travelling in Canada! If you require help, advice, or support during your working holiday in Canada – no problem! We’re always there for you, together with our Canadian partners!

Also, feel free to take part in the weekly job workshops in the Vancouver office if you need further assistance, and use the internet and pin boards displaying job offers - these are a great source of information!
