Volunteering in Zambia

The following services are included in our volunteering in Zambia programme:

• Transfer from/to the airport in Livingstone (at predetermined times)
• Orientation
• Placement in various volunteer projects
• Daily transportation to/from the projects
• Accommodation in a shared room in a volunteer house with full board and a weekly laundry service
• Regular possibilities to participate in organised excursions (may be subject to an additional fee)
• If needed, help extending the visa
• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator before departure
• Assistance when taking out travel insurance
• English-speaking contact partner whilst abroad
• Local 24-hour emergency number
• Certificate upon return

Prices

• Age: 18 years of age (Sport Project: 18-40 years)
• Language: Good knowledge of English
• Practical experience: Not mandatory for most of the projects, but would certainly make your stay easier and more interesting. If you are doing or have completed your studies or training in the field of medicine/nursing, you may be able to take on assignments with a higher level of responsibility if you can present proof of suitable certification.
• Other: Patience, self-sufficiency, flexibility, adaptability, and personal initiative are essential, as is the ability to handle very basic living and working conditions. Travel experience is an advantage for those volunteering in Zambia.
