Travelling Classroom Venezuela
If it's a tropical paradise you seek, look no further than Venezuela! With its steamy rainforests, teeming with ocelots, armadillos, and anacondas and its friendly local people with their thriving indigenous culture, Venezuela has all the makings of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
At a glance
- Age: 18 years and above
- Duration: 8 or 12 weeks
- Language: Spanish language skills help, but are not absolutely necessary.
- Starting dates: 10 May, 5 July, 2 Aug., 11 Oct., 6 Dec. 2010.
2 months in a Travelling Classroom
The Travelling Classroom offers a thrilling 2-3 month mix of Spanish lessons and adventure trips. The starting point is Playa Colorada in Mochima National Park on the Caribbean coast, one of the loveliest beaches in Venezuela. From here you'll head out on your Venezuelan tour.
The group, accompanied by a Spanish teacher, will have lessons in the most unusual “classrooms” of the world: a Jeep safari to Gran Sabana, a hike to the peak of Roraima (“the lost world”), a sea kayaking trip to the beautiful islands of the Caribbean, or an excursion to the Orinoco Delta in the jungle – Spanish lessons have never been more exciting! You will experience the natural landscape and cultural diversity of the country, explore isolated locations, and get to know various cultures, such as the indigenous Warao and Pemon people.
Lessons in the wilds of South America
Your lessons won’t take place in a classroom, and this demands some flexibility. You certainly won’t find a strict course schedule or meticulously planned-out lessons.
The 2-month programme includes approximately 100 Spanish lessons. During the 3-month programme, you will have 150 Spanish lessons, and during the last 4 weeks, you will do volunteer work as you take the language course.
