Weeks 1 and 2: Playa Colorada
Intensive Spanish lessons; cooking, salsa, and merengue lessons; tours to the islands, waterfalls, and villages within a close proximity; a 3-day kayak tour with dolphin-watching; introduction to climbing and abseiling.
Accommodation: Beach lodge
Week 3: Caripe National Park
More Spanish lessons, exploration of the Guachero Cave, visits to coffee and fruit plantations as well as to local markets, hikes through the mountains, sleeping in tents.

Week 4: Orinoco Delta
A kayak excursion of 10-12 days through the Orinoco River Delta, visits to isolated villages, discovering the traditional life of the Warao Indigenas (including fishing and survival-training).

Weeks 5 and 6: Playa Colorada
Further intensive Spanish lessons, history and culture lessons, cooking lessons, sports activities (beach volleyball, snorkelling), excursion to Cumana.

Weeks 7 and 8: Gran Sabana and Roraima
Jeep safari into the mystical highlands of Venezuela, visits to Indigena locations, Spanish lessons (only during Week 7), ascent of the Roraima Mesa, where Venezuela, Brazil, and Guayana border on one another (1-week trekking tour).

Weeks 9 - 12: Playa Colorada
After morning Spanish lessons, you will help out in the afternoons at a local volunteer project.
