Volunteer in Thailand

Travelling in Thailand is like flipping through a picture book – turn a page and you’re on a palm-fringed beach, another, and you’ll find yourself in a colourful temple, near a rice paddy or pineapple field, or within whispering-distance of a wild parrot or gibbon. Whether you’re relaxing in the sun, enjoying the delicious local food, or venturing into the jungle for a nature tour, you’re sure to soak up plenty of sun and culture as you experience your own Thai adventure tale.

Volunteer abroad in Thailand

Arrival and orientation days in Thailand

Before you begin to volunteer in Thailand, you will first spend an orientation weekend in Nongkhai on the border with Laos. Through excursions, our partner organisation will introduce you to the culture of Thailand and to the country's different regions. They will also help you prepare to teach English as a volunteer in Thailand.

During the orientation days and as you volunteer abroad in Thailand, you will stay in a shared room in a house with other volunteers from around the world.

Volunteer abroad in Thailand: Teach English

English is an important language in Thailand. Whoever has good knowledge of English can improve their career chances enormously. Whereas it is relatively easy to learn English in Bangkok, people living in rural areas and villages do not have as many educational opportunities. Therefore, you will be greatly appreciated as an English-teaching volunteer in Thailand.

You may be placed in schools, orphanages, or village educational establishments when you volunteer abroad in Thailand.
