Volunteering in Burkina Faso

The following services are included in our volunteering in Burkina Faso programme: 

• Transfer from Ouagadougou airport to hostel
• 4-day orientation in Ouagadougou (including accommodation in a hostel, full board, and activities)
• Language course of 8 French lessons
• Placement in a volunteer project
• Accommodation and meals (full board) with a host family during volunteer work
• Transportation to the project or to the host family after the orientation
• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator before departure
• Assistance when taking out travel insurance
• Help with applying for a visa
• Local French-speaking contact
• Local 24-hour emergency number
• Certificate upon return

Prices

• Age: 18 years and above
• Language: Very good knowledge of French
• Practical experience: Not mandatory, but it would certainly make your stay easier. To work in a hospital, practical experience or an education in health care is necessary.
• Other: Since you are going to enter a completely new cultural region, you will need a great deal of adaptability, independence, and travel experience. After receiving your application, we may conduct a telephone interview in French with you.
