Volunteering in Swaziland
Swaziland, with an area somewhat smaller than Wales, is the second-smallest country in Africa. Widely overlooked by tourists, the country still has much to offer: the Ezulwini Valley and the animal protection reserve are especially worth a visit. Swaziland usually ends up in the media when there is an ostentatious ceremony for King Mswati III (in 2008, he found his 14th wife during a reed dance of 50,000 virgins) - or if the country’s bitter problems are the topic of discussion.
