Volunteer opportunities in Mozambique

The following services and prices are included in our volunteer opportunities in Mozambique programme:

• Transfer from and to the Vilanculos airport (at predetermined times)
  
• Orientation
• Placement in various volunteer projects
• Donation to the project
• Daily transfers to and from the projects
• Accommodation in volunteer bungalows (shared rooms) with meals and a weekly laundry service
• Often the possibility to take part in organised excursions (possibly for an additional price)
• "Culture Day", taking place once a month (if you are on site at the time)

• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator before departure

Prices

• Age: 18 and above
• Language: Good or very good knowledge of English. Portuguese knowledge is an advantage, but not required.
• Practical experience: Not necessary, but it would certainly make your stay easier.
• Other: Patience, independence, flexibility, adaptability, and personal initiative are essential, as is the ability to handle very basic living and working conditions. Travel experience is also an advantage. Make sure that you wear appropriate clothing (shoulder-covering tops, trousers/skirts that cover the knee).
