Volunteer Work in Bali
Bali, the most famous of Indonesia’s islands, is a tropical paradise: rice fields as far as the eye can see, volcanos, idyllic villages, kilometres of sand beaches and dazzling temple festivals. Experience an unforgettable adventure as you teach English in Bali!
Volunteer work in Bali – Teach English in Indonesia
Teach English in Indonesia: you can do volunteer work in Bali in various regions (see below). School books and dictionaries to help you prepare for lessons are located in the volunteer house. School children and adult students are usually very interested in the backgrounds of the volunteers and are excited to look at photographs of volunteers’ home countries, which can be tied into the language instruction.
Ubud
Our partner project is dedicated to the improvement of education and of the overall education system in Bali. Your volunteer work in Bali will include teaching English in the mornings in a public school in the area of Gianyar, with the possibility of teaching in the afternoons as well.
Aside from this, you can help in the region at a learning centre near the capital of Gianyar. Students of all ages take part in afternoon lessons here, which are instructed by volunteers alone or with the support of a Balinese assistant.
In Ubud, you will work from three to five hours a day, with free time at the weekend, when you will have the chance to explore the island.
Klungkung
Our partner organisation is also committed to the improvement of education and of the educational system in Klungkung. Your help teaching English in Indonesia is therefore in great demand here.
Your volunteer work in Bali in Klunkung, will include supporting teachers of basic and advanced English. Additionally, English instruction for other teachers and staff members at the school will be offered. Volunteers can sometimes take part in art and music lessons, diving deeper into Balinese culture.
You will do volunteer work in Bali from Monday through Friday for three to four hours a day. At the weekend, you will have free time to travel and explore Bali.
Holiday Camps
During Indonesian school holidays, you will be placed in a holiday camp, helping with various activities at the camp or assisting in the local community.
