Volunteer short term in Rajasthan, and turn your few weeks in India into the experience of a lifetime, packed with volunteer work, intercultural experiences, and fascinating excursions!

After your arrival in New Delhi and a good night’s sleep, your next stop is Agra, where you’ll tour the world-famous mausoleum, the Taj Mahal. Once you’ve marvelled over the snow-white towers of this remarkable structure, you will go on a tiger safari before travelling to your short-term volunteer placement in Rajasthan. After a quick introduction to your volunteer project, you’ll begin to volunteer short term in Rajasthan right away.

As you volunteer, you will also receive yoga instruction and an Indian cooking workshop. You will also go on an excursion to Pushkar, including a camel safari.

Construction, Renovation, and Social Projects

In this 2 to 3-week volunteer programme, unlike our other programmes in Rajasthan, you will not participate in teaching projects – but there are still many areas for you to contribute in India! Renovation projects, in which you’ll plaster, paint, and decorate local facilities, such as day-care centres, are perfect tasks for short term volunteers in Rajasthan. Other work includes:

  • Plastering and painting walls in a children’s daycare centre,
  • Renovating and improving facilities and playground equipment,
  • Tending to a school garden and improving sport fields.

You can also get involved in healthcare projects as a short term volunteer in Rajasthan, educating locals about nutrition and health issues such as HIV-prevention, or explaining how important a good education is for a child.
