Volunteer Opportunities in India

The following services are included in our volunteer opportunities in India: Rajasthan programme:

• Transfer from and to the airport in New Delhi (at set times)
• An overnight stay in a shared room in New Delhi after arrival and before departure
• Transportation from New Delhi – Jaipur - Lalsot - New Delhi
• 4 orientation days including 4 overnight stays with a host family in Jaipur (shared room) with full board
• Excursion to the Amber Fort in Jaipur and possibly an elephant ride
• Placement in one of the volunteer projects
• Daily transportation to and from the project site
• Accommodation during the volunteer work (shared room) with full board in the volunteer camp
• A one-week guided workshop in the morning (Yoga or Indian cooking, 4-week programme: only Yoga.)
• Weekend excursions with overnight stays. Tiger and camel safaris (4-week programme: only tiger safari)
• Help from an English-speaking interpreter during the first four weeks
• Help when taking out travel insurance
• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator before departure
• Local English-speaking contact partner
• Local 24-hour emergency number
• Certificate upon return

Prices

• Age: 18 years and above
• Language: Good English skills
• Practical Experience: Not mandatory, but an advantage.
• Other: Note that you’ll be entering an entirely different culture - patience, flexibility, initiative and travel experience are essential. Women must dress in traditional Indian clothing - during the first days you will equip yourself appropriately. Rajasthan is usually very dry and warm. The monsoon months are June through Sept. - there can be very heavy rainfall at this time.
