Hotel Jobs in Italy: Language Course
If you’re on the search for hotel jobs in Italy, you’ll need to have good Italian language skills, because your English will only get you so far; the people here often speak only Italian. The guests, co-workers, and employers in your hotel will depend on you to be able to communicate quite well in the Italian language.
In order to be sure that your Italian skills are good enough to allow you to work in hotel jobs in Italy, you will begin your stay in Italy with a 4-week language course. You can do this in Florence, San Remo, Naples, or in Lecce. The Sunday after the course has ended, you will travel to the hotel where you have been placed.
Italian Language Schools
Florence
In the middle of the historic part of the city, between the Ponte Vecchio and the Piazza Santa Croce is your language school in Florence, where you and a maximum of 9 other students will attend 20 Italian language classes a week, each class lasting 55 minutes.
San Remo
Our partner school in San Remo is situated near the old part of the city, within walking distance of the beach and famous local casino. You will polish your Italian with up to 9 other students, attending 20 classes a week, each class lasting 50 minutes
Naples
Located directly in the university quarter in the middle of Naples’ historic centre, our partner school offers instruction in classes of up to 12 students. You will attend 20 Italian classes per week, each class lasting 55 minutes.
Lecce
Those who decide to take the language course in Lecce will have a 10-minute walk to school from the city centre, and a 15-minute walk to the beach. Language instruction takes place in groups of up to 12 students, with 20 classes per week, each class lasting about 50 minutes.
Language Schools in Italy - Free time
All language schools offer various free time activities, giving you a fantastic opportunity to see more of the Italian region where you are staying and to get to know your fellow students!
Language Schools in Italy - Accommodation
During the four weeks of your language course, you will be living together with other language school students in a double room in a shared flat. You will be responsible for your own meals.
Overview: Hotel Jobs in Italy
- Duration: 3 months (During the summer: 2 months - but you must stay until the end of the season, between August and mid-September.) Maximum stay is 4 months.
- Application: At least 3-4 months before departure. It is best to apply as early as possible.
- Starting Dates: Every Monday. Participants should arrive on Sunday.
- Practical Experience: Prior experience in hospitality or hotel jobs is a great advantage, but is not absolutely necessary.
- Other: After you have booked the programme, write an application in Italian or English for restaurant / hotel jobs in Italy, according to our specifications. Hotel jobs in Italy require a lot of hard work and flexibility, the ability to get along well with other people, and an appropriate appearance.
