Volunteer opportunities in Ecuador

The following services are included in our volunteer opportunities in Ecuador programme: 

• Transportation from Quito airport
• Spanish language course with 20 lessons per week, each lasting 50 minutes.
• Accommodation during the course: First 2 nights in a hostel (meals not included), then with a host family (full board Mon.-Fri.), or 8-week programme: additional option to stay in dormitory (meals not included).
• Placement in a volunteer project and donation to project.
• Accommodation during the volunteer work: Rural projects: host family, volunteer house, or at the project, meals included. In Quito: dormitory, meals not included.
• Course materials and various activities at the school (salsa lessons, etc.)
• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator before departure.
• Assistance when taking out travel insurance
• Local English and Spanish-speaking contact partner
• Local 24-hour emergency number
• Certificate after return

Prices

• Age: 18 and above.
• Language: Spanish language skills help, but are not absolutely necessary for volunteer opportunities in Ecuador. You will brush up on your Spanish skills in the language course.
• Practical experience: Not mandatory, but it would certainly make your stay easier if you are working on a social project.
• Other: Since you are going to enter a completely unfamiliar cultural region, independence, flexibility, initiative, and adaptability are vital. You should also be aware that some of the ecological projects lie in very isolated locations.
