Volunteering in Brazil

The following services are included in our volunteering in Brazil programme:

• Pick-up at Rio de Janeiro airport
• 4-week Portuguese language course with 15 lessons per week (10 lessons per week if 3 or fewer students are enroled)
• Course materials
• 4 weeks accommodation with a host family (single or double room with half board) during the language course
• Projects 2, 3, and 4: Transfer from Florianópolis airport or Curitiba to accommodation
• Placement in a volunteer project
• 4 weeks accommodation with a host family (single or double room with half board) during the volunteer work, Project 4: double room in a lodge with full board
• Orientation event
• Help with taking out travel insurance
• Support, help, and advice from an appointed programme coordinator before departure
• Local English and Portuguese-speaking contacts
• Local 24-hour emergency number
• Certificate upon return

Prices

• Age: 18 and above
• Language: Some Portuguese language skills help, but are not necessary since you will  take a beginner-level language course.
• Practical experience: Not mandatory, but it would certainly make your stay easier. 
  
• Other: Independence, personal initiative, flexibility, and adaptability are important for volunteering in Brazil. Travel experience is an advantage.
