Travel Stories from Australia
Australia is an incredible mix of vast red deserts and white-sand beaches, tropical rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef, sky-scraping modern cities and the great Outback - not to mention its assortment of exotic flora and fauna found nowhere else on earth. The Aussies offer foreign backpackers a myriad of paid work opportunities, and have come to count on temporary workers from abroad. Work and travel for a year in "Oz", and have the ultimate Australian adventure!
I really loved Australia!
“I really loved Australia! I spent 3 months in Sydney, doing diverse jobs such as waitress in a café and a sales person at a U2 concert. I also helped with packing and babysat. The weekend in the VIP area at the U2 concert was amazing. I prepared hot dogs and burgers and sat at the cash till. I had lovely people around me the whole time and everyone experienced a great concert! Afterwards we even had time to watch U2. The atmosphere in the sold-out stadium was great!”

Don’t be afraid of going it alone
“Although I’m only 19 years old, I’d say that my 5 months in Australia was the best time of my life. It’s just great to get to know and love a country and its people. This works particularly well if you’re travelling alone, like I was. Most Australians made it really easy for me to feel at home – I hardly missed my home country of Germany! Every day was special; every day was different”.

The best time of my life
“My time spent abroad really was the best time of my life! I experienced, saw, felt and did so much! I changed completely; becoming far more open and self-confident. I made so many friends from all over the world – from Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia! It was the best thing I could have done after my A-levels”!
